POSITIVE IMPACT, POPULARITY AND YOUNG PEOPLE

I see a misconception in our society today especially among young people.

There is a battle between IMPACT AND POPULARITY. There tends to be a conflict in ideology and definition

IMPACT

It means to have a direct effect on: impinge on: to strike forcefully

Also it connotes the force of impression of one thing on another: a significant or major effect

Positive Impact means having a positive impression, influence, effect on a person, environment, community or organization

Popularity

Is a state of being popular, suitable, commonly liked or approved by the general public.

What's the relationship between IMPACT AND FAME?

Positive Impact with time produces fame. Positive Impact will always give birth to some measures of fame. While Fame on the other hand cannot be a yardstick for measuring positive impact. Fame is an end product.

I must confess that both are good, pleasurable and can be found in God

It’s possible to make positive impact and not be “really popular”! David killed a lion and a bear in the wilderness, No one celebrated him but Samson killed a lion with his hands (Just like David) and the entire world declared him –THE STRONGEST MAN.

As I move around, I find people with great talents, discipline and profound impact that are not so popular as it were.

BALANCE

To equate both, or use one as a parameter for the other ALL THE TIME is deception.

COUNSEL

Pursue positive impact not fame. Actually, fame ought to be a bye-product of impact. When attention moves from impact to fame, doom is inevitable. This is the reason why some celebrities are frustrated, their personal lives are full of emptiness and eventually they turn to drugs, illicit sex etc.

My dear people, maintaining popularity is a rat race you will never win.

Do you know what it means to be pointed at as you move along the streets, multiple greetings in the banking hall, market places, and the media all over you just looking for a word, dressing or an act for cheap blackmail? If your lifestyle isn't as strong as a brick-wall, rooted in encounters, principles and disciplines of the Spirit, you’ll collapse like a pack of cards

I’ve been privileged to come close to some PROMINIENT people both in their homes and offices; I’ve had countless official, personal meetings and relationships with them.  I observed the secret behind their enduring success. They dissociate themselves from the frivolities and ephemeral pressures of the 'celebrity’s world'

As they approached, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me about the lead vocalist. Summarily, the message was that He would have several open doors and favors later in life, HOWEVER His lifestyle and preparation doesn’t correlate with the opportunities waiting for him. I used to hate meetings.

In fact I was very vocal about meetings being a waste of time. In most meetings I attended, I daydreamed about a dozen other ways I could be spending my time more productively.

Over time I would discover the problem was not the meeting per se, but the way the meeting was managed. Today I am a shouting proponent of meetings, at least the productive ones. And I have found that church staff persons, whether full-time, part-time, or volunteer, are among the most notorious for having bad staff meetings.

The word 'midnight' occurred 14times in scripture and each time it occurred, something strange was attached to it. From scriptures, David was the first person to get up at night to pray. Psalm 199:62 says "At MIDNIGHT I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgements."
Secondly you must know that God did everything important at midnight. Whenever the Apostles were locked up in prison, it took midnight prayers to break open their prison wall. In our world today, people understand the power of midnight. Whenever soldiers are about to move strategically for war, their movement is always at night. The war that brought down Sadam Huseini, Muammar Gaddafi, Osama Bin Laden was carried out at night.
As a Christian, you must understand that night warfare is extremely effective. Night warfare has a way of mysteriously recovering lost years. Look at the case of the children of Israel, they worked as slaves for the Egyptians for years but it took a single night battle for Pharaoh to set them free.

1.     When people join or add you, it’s because they trust you. Moreover, it's a sign that you are one of them, do not take it lightly.

2.     There are different types of groups educative, social / jokes, administrative, family, church etc. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

3.     When people add you to a group and you feel you're not interested, ask the administrator of the group to remove you. If they refuse then you do the rude thing - leave (left).

Several of Gods people are looking forward to a time of express manifestation of the liberty of the kingdom. Recently, we had a meeting where some of our brethren shared how believers are been oppressed and victimized in nations around the world however; God is set to turn around the captivity of His people. He is about to bring all promises to pass. Zion will not be redeemed with negotiations but with Judgment. Several times we have a misconception about Judgment.
