THE MAN GOD USES… 2nd Requirement (Fundamental truths to becoming a man or woman of God) Part. 2 With Rev Bankole Abioye

Welcome to this edition. Let’s hit it. Having dealt with separation from sin, the next requirement is
1.      STAYING WITH HIM: You might also call this dwelling in God’s presence. To me, this is the most important thing about being a man or woman of God. Look at this scripture with me quickly.
Then Jesus went up on a hill and invited those he wanted to go with him. So they joined him there.  And he chose twelve men and called them apostles. He wanted these twelve men to be with him, and he wanted to send them to other places to tell people God's message.  He also wanted them to have the power to force demons out of people. Mark 3:13-16 ERV

Brethren, if you can grasp this truth today, I guarantee your success in everything you do. Beloved, you cannot be an authentic man of God until you’ve learnt what it means to stay with Him in the closet. By this, I mean both observing and going beyond your quiet time.
You will observe in that scripture that their first assignment was to BE WITH AND STAY WITH JESUS, then He can send them to preach, perform miracles and force out devils.

BEWARE LANDMINES AND PITFALLS!!!
When a man begins to stay with God, he will be granted access to mysteries, secrets, unction and other beautiful things. Eventually when men see these things manifest in your life, they crowd around you. This is where the danger lies. The man of God no longer has time for God. He is here, there and everywhere. This is where the devil plants seeds around his life and pulls him down for his devotion and connection with Heaven.

A ROLL CALL OF ANCIENT MEN & WOMEN GOD USED
Martin Luther spent 2 hours daily with God in the secret place, Susanna Wesley (mother of 19 children) spent an hour daily with God behind closed doors. No wonder she gave the world John and Charles Wesley.
Brainerd said: "I love to be alone in my cottage, where I can spend much time in prayer."

Dr. Judson's success in prayer is attributable to the fact that he gave much time to prayer. He says on this point: "Arrange thy affairs, if possible, so that thou canst leisurely devote two or three hours every day not merely to devotional exercises but to the very act of secret prayer and communion with God. Endeavor seven times a day to withdraw from business and company and lift up thy soul to God in private retirement. Begin the day by rising after midnight and devoting some time amid the silence and darkness of the night to this sacred work. Let the hour of opening dawn find thee at the same work. Let the hours of nine, twelve, three, six, and nine at night witness the same. Be resolute in his cause. Make all practicable sacrifices to maintain it.

WHILE WE ALL CANNOT BE AT DR. JUDSONS HEIGHT, WE MUST HAVE A STARTING POINT.
To be much for God is to be much with Him.
Years ago, in a prayer meeting, my pastor asked us individually how much time we spent with God. As we all answered, a brother said ‘4 hours’. My pastor looked at him, disagreed and said, ‘If you spend 4 hours, it will show’.

My challenge to you today is will that manifestation remain a dream? Will those prophesies remain dormant? Will your generation keep groaning? If NO, the find your way to the secret place, stay there and Mercy will come down.

Feel free to share, ask questions and if I ever get to meet you in this life, I ll love it. Keep growing and stay strong. Till we come your way again.
